Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer recognized for his distinct blend with soul-jazz R&B and R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine has the name Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta but her origins are located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop as musician through playing guitar and singing at church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals Stalk You a House 12 came out only in Japan. The song has had numerous remixes and it is a mainstay of her live performances. The singer also contributed her voice to the music of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was hired to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage musical Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Director of Choral for Dreamgirls The stage show in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by the nation during 4 performances per day during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine continued to receive recognition when she was invited to sing for President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
